Celebrating 120 years of Nintendo! Forum Post
Hi,
I may sound a bit stupid say that Nintendo has existed for 120, but recently I did a bit of research and I found out Nintendo was actually founded in Kyoto, Japan on September 23rd 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi to produce homemade Hanafuda cards. By 1963, Nintendo had tried several small niche businesses, such as a cab company and a love hotel. Eventually, Nintendo developed into a video game company, becoming one of the most influential in the industry and Japan's third most valuable listed company, with a market value of over US$85 billion. Besides video games, Nintendo is also the majority owner of the Seattle Mariners, a Major League Baseball team in Seattle, Washington. According to Nintendo's Touch! Generations website, the name "Nintendo" translated from Japanese to English means "Leave luck to Heaven". As of October 2, 2008, Nintendo has sold over 470 million hardware units and 2.7 billion software units.
In other news, the Nintendo of Europe website has released a 'Metroid Prime Trilogy' Web page for the release of the game on the 4th September 2009, click here to see the web page and for the first 23 hours of the Forum's Grand Re-Opening 4 members have already registered, be sure to tell your friends to register too and remember, the 15th registered user become a Global Moderator.

Today I was adding some finishing touches to the forum but then it completely buggered up. This means that the Grand Re-Opening might be postponed 'till further notice, but if it is just keep a close eye on the blog for more news regarding the forum.
Thanks

EDIT - It's all fixed now so the forum should re-open at the scheduled date
